New Year Resolution 2010 No. 1

So its time for new year resolutions to make. Most if not everybody might have made few and now its my turn.

The first one I am making is to reply to each and every comment I will get in this year on all my blogs.

Lets see ho its turns out.

Free Blogger templates

I am frequently changing my blogs templates. Its because I want a blog look minimalist so I don't have to take care of too many things and also I want it to look fresh so it not look boring. I tried a lot of free template sites. You can get lots of free templates for blogger of wordpress just by searching at google.

I like this site called btemplates.com to get free blogger templates. This site collect best of the blogger templates from all over the web and present them on their site is nice manner so you don't have work hard to find what you need. If you are looking for a blogger template then give it a try.  

To do lists

I wrote here about making a  to do list. I use google notepad to take notes whenever I am online but for offline I decided to do it the old fashioned way by keeping a small pocked diary with me all the time and taking notes whenever I get some new idea. As the diary is new it provokes the feeling of doing new thing and its human nature that we are too much interested in new things.

Lets see how it turns out to be.

Trying out Blog Editors

I use windows live writer to post to my blog. I just thought of trying some other blog editors too. This entry I am posting using scribefire mozilla addon.
The other blog editors I downloaded are Qumana blog editor and Zoundry blog writer.
None of them is looking to me as good as windows live writer on first look. Lets see how they turn out to be.

Monetize blog with Inlinks.com

Inlinks.com is about monetizing your website or blog. It says it converts specific words into links. Advertisers are benefited as they get links for SEO purpose and publisher gets paid.

Overall I didn't like the idea at all. Why should I give my google juice for sake of such a low price.

Yet another domain

I just purchased yet another domain from godaddy (yes its still confusing). websiteown.com is the domain I purchased. I purchased this domain as according to google keyword tool this term get more than 350,000 searches every month.

So how actually I decide whether to buy a domain or not. I brainstorm about the domain name then I think whether I will search for that term on google or not then I think whether my wife (who is not much familiar with web) will perform a search on google if I tell her the subject I want to search then I go to google keyword tool and then look for the amount of searches that term gets. Then I think how much SEO I will have to do to make this domain rank well in search engine. And last and most important how much this domain can earn me or how many email subscriber this domain can attract. That's all.

Been there Seen that

I am a big surfer of web and use to visit a lots of sites. As all of us do me too forget about most of the sites, many of those are useful but forgetting about them makes them waste.

From now on I will be making a log about those sites on this blog.

Trying new things

Trying to do some arbitrage with a combination of advertising network. Lets see how it turn out to be.

In my one of the previous post I wrote about being confused. So make use of this confusion I am trying new things now. If its turn out well it will give some mental relief for sure.

Nothing to write

Its 1:30 am. I just finished doing my work and I have to wake up early in the morning. No time for brainstorming and writing something thoughtful.

Things are getting complicated

I rarely becomes so indecisive I am at present. I am not able to make decision about whether to continue my studies or to leave it and concentrate full time on my online activities.

To do list

Yesterday I wrote about not doing things and how it hurts later. Now I am trying to make and follow a to do list for the first time in my life, I never have tried it before and lets see how it works out.

To start with I amusing Google notes to take notes of things I want to do online with my blogs and forums. Google had stopped further development of the Google notes but I still like it.

If anyone know something better to take notes of to do things please let me know. Yes that service should be accessible form the mobile too.

Again a Break from writing

Again I took this long break from writing anything on any of my blogs. This is really bad and annoying for me. I don't know what happens. I just don't feel like writing anything in these long periods. I know this really hurts my online business.

If I took a day off then I don't feel like writing next day and day after that it becomes even more difficult to write anything. If I start writing without any thinking then its far more easy to write.

I am going to have my All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination( PGMEE ) on 10th of January and this will become a nice excuse for not writing anything for few days now. But I will try not to do this again. I will write whatever comes in my mind next few days even if its the things I have learnt from my medical books. So bear with me.
